I am a 33-year-old Canadian mystery author with a passion for true crime. My crime fiction series, "Beyond Dark", focuses on female serial killers, so that is what I mostly blog about. Discussions may also include history (I have a special love for historical crime, specifically in Victorian England), mental illness awareness, abuse awareness, and various topics my book research takes me through. My true crime passion started as a kid, watching "Law and Order" and crime docs with my mother, and reading her Ann Rule collection. I've read endlessly about criminal psychology and serial killers. I am also a domestic violence and child sexual abuse survivor. My topics will be a mix of all these experiences, in what is hopefully an informative, enlightening, and intriguing glimpse into humanity, dark and light.
